| 16 October 2009 | | Southern Grampians Shire Council would like to remind residents that comments on the Concept Plan and Perspective Drawings for stage two of the redevelopment of the Hamilton Arts Precinct close on Wednesday 21 October.
Stage two of the redevelopment of the Hamilton Arts Precinct is jointly funded by the Victorian State Government, who will contribute $300,000 through its Regional Infrastructure Development Fund and Council who will contribute $169,000 through its 2009/10 Council Budget.
The redevelopment involves the reinvigoration of the area in front of the Performing Arts Centre, Brown Street Business Centre, Library and Art Gallery to create an area the whole town can be use and be proud of, while also enhancing the overall look of the Precinct.
The redevelopment will also integrate into the Hamilton Structure Plan and Urban Design Framework for the central business district.
Copies of the Concept Plan and Perspective Drawings are available for viewing at Council’s Business Centre, 111 Brown Street Hamilton, the Hamilton Performing Arts Centre, 113 Brown Street Hamilton, the Hamilton Library, 105 Brown Street Hamilton, or your can view the documents on Council’s website www.sthgrampians.vic.gov.au
