| 28 October 2009 | | Southern Grampians Shire Council would like to inform residents that the Department for Primary Industries has advised Council that the Municipal Rate Subsidy has been reintroduced for the 2009/10 financial year.
Residents who are currently or have received since 1 April 2009 “Exceptional Circumstance Relief Payments” or “Emergency Payments” from Centrelink may be eligible for the Municipal Rate Subsidy.
Eligible ratepayers may receive up to a 30% subsidy on their rates through the 2009/2010 Municipal Rate Subsidy.
